Vale!

Spain is..

Beautiful, clean and different.

First off,

- Bathrooms are not “banos” but “aseos.”

- Everyone rides around on little Vespas everywhere. Just like you’d imagine in movies.

- People literally say Vale after everything. EVERYTHING. I always knew that was a huge Spaniard thing but it is no exaggeration. For all you that don’t know whatVale is, it’s kind of like saying, “yeah or okay or right or sure or uhuh.” Vale!

- The Metro system here is awesome, let alone just the public transportation in general. It’s clean and used by everyone. It is so easy to get around Spain and Europe in general.

- There are TONS of gardens and parks and just greenery. I love all the Plazas everywhere.

- People eat dinner here super late, I mean 10 p.m. This isn’t a big deal for me because my mom always served dinner after 8 p.m. but I definitely can tell the Americans think it’s different.

- The way people greet here is the same way in Miami, kisses on the cheeks hello. Another culture shock for the Americans.

- It doesn’t get dark till around 10 p.m. and even then, it looks like it would at around 7 p.m. in the states.
